But, if you've never been to a surf contest and/or you want to read an account that attempts to be as honest as possible, well, here we go. I'm here in Lincoln City to watch surfing and write about it, but I'm surprised whenever I meet someone here purely to watch. Surfing is not a spectator-friendly sport, least of all at Nelscott, where the wave breaks a quarter mile offshore."
